Be a Nelson Movement
Inspired by Nelson Mandela, this initiative empowers youth to shift from survival thinking to action and independence, leading with forgiveness and hope.
Established in 2019, the Be a Nelson Movement is a direct result of the "Long Walk for the Entrepreneurial Mindset" project. Inspired by the legacy of Nelson Mandela, the movement focuses on leading with forgiveness, hope, and action.
We target youth with the potential to shift from a "survival mindset" to one of leadership and independence. By identifying and equipping emerging grassroots changemakers, we help them make a meaningful impact in their own communities.
The movement provides more than just training; it offers a sense of belonging to a national and global network of like-minded individuals who are committed to social transformation. Our "Nelsons" are inaugural members Nico met during his "LONG WALK" through South African townships, individuals who embody strength of mind and an "I can!" attitude.

Core Offerings:
• Access to Education • A global network of mentors and coaches • Experience and exposure on local and global levels
The knowledge gained by the Nelsons is transmitted back to their communities, inspiring others and creating a sustainable cycle of growth and empowerment.
